Cockapoos are a popular mix breed of a Poodle and a Cocker Spaniel. They are generally friendly and very intelligent dogs who love to please their owners. They have a wavy or curly coat, which comes in a variety of colors, and is usually considered hypoallergenic. With regular grooming, these dogs stay low-shedding, though their shedding does increase during seasonal changes. Cockapoos do well in most living arrangements, from apartments to large yards, and enjoy active lifestyles. Exercise, training, and plenty of love are all important for these dogs.
Cockapoos, which are a cross between a Cocker Spaniel and a Poodle, can be considered hypoallergenic, but the term doesn't mean that no allergies will be triggered. It's still possible for some individuals to be allergic to Cockapoos, and the breed itself doesn't guarantee that someone with allergies will be safe from any allergic reactions. This is due to the fact that it's impossible to predict how much of their parent breeds' fur and dander will be passed on to the Cockapoo pup.
Cockapoos are relatively small dogs that can't tolerate large, heavy pieces of food, so it's important to give them appropriate meals that are easy to digest. Avoid feeding Cockapoos any chocolate, nuts, dairy products, or fatty foods, and make sure to cut treats into small, bite-sized pieces. Anything too large could cause a choking hazard. Plus, avoid any bones, rawhide, or cooked bones as these may cause gastrointestinal blockages or other health problems.
Before getting a Cockapoo, it is essential to have the necessary items you need to properly care for your new pup. Cockapoos need far more exercise than many other small breeds, with a minimum of 20-30 minutes per day. However, it is important for them to get plenty of exercise to stay healthy and happy.
