Dachshunds are adorable, loyal, and comical companions. They are known for their long bodies and short legs, and they come in a variety of colors and patterns. They usually have a strong prey drive, so it’s important to always keep them on a leash or within a fenced-in area to keep them safe. It is also important to provide daily exercise such as running, playing fetch, or going on long walks to keep them healthy and mentally stimulated.
Dachshunds are not considered to be a non-shedding breed, as they do shed hair. While individual dogs may shed more or less than others, it is generally accepted that Dachshunds do shed, but with less frequency than some other breeds.
