The Havanese is a small, cheerful breed of dog that was originally developed in Cuba in the mid-1800s. They descended from heir Spanish ancestors, the Bichon type of dog. The breed is a longhaired, silky-coated, spirited little dog that is an excellent companion. The Havanese have a distinctive gait of movement that appears to be a dancing step that captivates everyone who sees it. These little dogs are bright, robust, and affectionate, and as such, they make a wonderful addition to the family.
Whether or not Havaneses will cause you to have allergies depends on your own individual level of sensitivities and susceptibilities. Some people may be allergic to Havaneses, just as they might be to any other breed of dog.
