One of the most interesting things about Havaneses is that despite their small size, they have boundless energy and endless enthusiasm for life. They are also incredibly intelligent and learn quickly, so they can often fool you into thinking they understand more than they actually do. These fluff balls also love to please their people and have a sweet and loving nature. Like their Havanese ancestor, the Bichon, they thrive on human attention and return their human’s love with unconditional loyalty.
It is possible for Havaneses to cause allergies, as with any other breed of dog. However, due to the Havaneses' small size and low shedding fur, they are often considered hypoallergenic and therefore much less likely to cause an allergic reaction than other breeds. It is important to note that while people who may have allergies to larger breeds of dog may be able to tolerate Havaneses, they may still suffer from allergies. If you have a history of allergies, it is wise to talk to your doctor before introducing a Havaneses into your life.
Havanese are a small, friendly breed of dog and their diet should reflect their activity level.
