Labrador Retrievers are classed as a sporting breed. They are beloved for their intelligence, their loyalty, and their cheerful, outgoing temperament. A Labrador is an excellent family pet, as they have low-maintenance grooming requirements, are relatively healthy and overall quite easy-going. With that said, they do have a high energy level and need plenty of exercise and mental stimulation to stay content. Labradors are most often trained to do jobs such as hunting, retrieving, and assisting those with disabilities, making them one of the most versatile breeds around.
Labrador Retrievers have a beautiful, thick coat that can range from black, brown, yellow, or a mix of the three.
