What makes them so unique is their incredibly diverse talents--Labradors have been known for their success in numerous canine activities, such as hunting, tracking, field and agility trials, search and rescue, retrieving, herding, and most famously, acting in films and TV. They are also used as service and guide dogs for those with vision or hearing impairments, or any other type of disability.
Labrador Retrievers are not hypoallergenic. While they do shed less fur than many other breeds, allergens still cling to hair, skin and saliva, and can be transferred by petting, grooming, or simply being around a furry animal. While there have been issues with Labs developing severe skin allergies and sensitivities, most allergies that one may experience when around any type of pet or animal are more common and stem from fur or dander rather than a specific breed of dog.
Labrador Retrievers are beloved family companions that benefit from nutrient-dense and balanced diets.
