Maltipoos are becoming increasingly popular as pets due to their sweet and friendly dispositions. They are a hybrid breed, created by selectively breeding a Maltese and a Toy or Miniature Poodle. Maltipoos tend to be fairly small, usually averaging between 6 and 15 pounds as adults. They come in a variety of colors, including black, white, brown, red, and apricot. They are known to be very social and adaptable pets, who get along well with both humans and other animals.
The Maltipoo coat is usually soft, luxurious and full-bodied. Depending on the generation of the breed and the parents' hair characteristics, the coat may be wavy, curly or straight. It's usually a mix between a Maltese and a Toy or Miniature Poodle coat, but if the Maltese parent is higher in the generations then the coat may be more like a Maltese's.
