Not only is their personality incredibly sweet and affectionate like that of the Maltese, but they also have the intelligence, trainability, and hypoallergenic qualities of the Poodle. They are considered to be an excellent fit for families as they have a very strong desire to please their owners and are very easy to train and socialize. Surprisingly, they also have quite the energy for their small size and love to be active.
Generally speaking, Maltipoos are considered to be a hypoallergenic breed and are often recommended for people who have allergies. However, no breed can be 100% guaranteed to be hypoallergenic, and some people may still experience allergy symptoms when in contact with them.
