The most interesting thing about Pomskies is that they are a hybrid, or mixed breed. While their parent breeds, the Pomeranian and Siberian Husky, have many differences, Pomskies can be striking in their physical characteristics, personality traits and even temperament. Although they are small, they have the same intelligence, loyalty and athleticism of their larger relatives, which makes them ideal companions and energetic family pets. Pomskies don't often display traits of both of their parents in equal measure, so it can be enchanting to see the unique personality that they develop.
Pomskies can vary from dog to dog, but in general, they do not shed in the same way as other breeds of dog. Some Pomskies may require more grooming than others due to coat thickness and type, but its highly unlikely that they will shed all that much. However, periodic brushing and occasional trips to the groomer are recommended to maintain their coats. This helps to keep their fur looking and feeling nice as well as minimizing shedding.
