They are generally very intelligent dogs, with some estimates placing them as being about as intelligent as the average Border Collie. Pomskies are loyal and affectionate, and they like to be active with their owners, including taking them on regular walks. They do not do well with long periods of isolation, and need to be around people regularly.
Pomskies can be considered a low-shedding breed of dog that typically does not require intense grooming or shedding of fur on a regular basis.
