Poodles are also well known as "water dogs" as they were bred as the ultimate swimming companion. In addition, Poodles have been popular showdogs for decades, winning awards for agility, obedience, tracking, and more.
Poodles have a unique coat because their hair doesn't shed. Rather than having a guard coat like many other breeds, poodles have a fine coat that experts refer to as "cotton wool".
