A Poodle is a highly intelligent breed of dog that originated in Germany and is most commonly known for the puffy, curly coat found in its Standard and Toy varieties. The breed is further divided into four varieties, which includes the Miniature, Toy, Standard, and the recently created, Continental Giant. Poodles are well known for being very loyal and obedient but can sometimes be high strung and need regular exercise. They tend to form strong bonds with their owners and get along well with children and other dogs; however, they need to be properly socialized when young.
