For instance, they are very smart and easily trainable, and can learn commands and tricks quickly. They are also great with children, as they are devoted, loyal, and always willing to give cuddles. In addition, Aussiedoodles are known to be incredibly social dogs who love to be around people. Plus, they tend to have a much milder temperament than their parent breeds, the Australian Shepherd and the Poodle.
Aussiedoodles are a hybrid breed of dog, so it's impossible to say exactly how much dander they will shed, and therefore how much risk of triggering allergies. However, since both an Australian Shepherd and a Poodle are hypoallergenic breeds, it's reasonable to believe that an Aussiedoodle will not cause allergies in most people.
Aussiedoodles are generally a healthy breed of dog, however, there are certain items that should never be included in their diet. Common human foods such as grapes, onions, garlic, avocados, chocolate, candy, and alcoholic beverages should never be fed to Aussiedoodles, as they can result in significant health problems. Garlic can cause anemia and even kidney failure. Additionally, items with a high sugar content, such as table scraps, can lead to muscle and bone problems, as well as obesity and diabetes.
Aussiedoodles can vary in care needs depending on their coat type, as some have coats that require more consistent grooming than others. Generally, they need regular brushing and occasional baths to keep their coats clean and should have their coats clipped four to six times a year, depending on the length of the coat and the needs of the individual dog. Activity-wise, they need a moderate amount of exercise and enjoy activities like hiking, swimming, running, and playing fetch or tug.
