Bernedoodles are a hybrid breed resulting from the crossing of a Bernese Mountain Dog and a Poodle. They are very active, friendly, lovable dogs that average between 50-90 lbs when grown (depending on the size of the parents) and vary in length.
Bernedoodles are often referred to as "low shed" or "hypoallergenic" dogs. Although technically no dog is completely non-shedding since all breeds shed at least a little, Bernedoodles do not shed as much as standard breeds. They usually have a finer, wavier fur coat which also helps reduce their shedding. Their shedding can also be deterred with regular brushing and grooming in order to keep their coats healthy.
It is important to carefully consider the nutritional needs of your Bernedoodle when deciding what to feed it. Ideally, the diet should be tailored to your Bernedoodle's age, weight, lifestyle, and overall health. Look for a quality dog food that is designed specifically for Bernedoodles or large breed dogs.
