Despite their silly name, Bernedoodles are actually highly intelligent and have a great temperment, making them great family pets. They have several unique characteristics that make them special, such as their thick, wavy fur it's usually dark in color and doesn't shed much. They're also remarkably active dogs that require a lot of mental and physical exercise to keep them happy.
Most Bernedoodles are hypoallergenic due to their parent breeds, Bernese Mountain Dogs and Poodles. Generally speaking, Bernedoodles are unlikely to cause allergies in their owners. However, not all hypoallergenic dog breeds are completely allergy-free and since there is a wide variety in Bernedoodles, there is a chance that some Bernedoodles may cause some allergic reactions. Therefore, it is best to spend some quality time with individual Bernedoodles to observe any allergic reactions before committing to one.
When considering food for Bernedoodles, it is important to look for a diet that meets the particular nutritional needs of the breed.
