Pomskies are a cross between a Pomeranian and a Siberian Husky. This hybrid breed is one of the most popular of the designer dog breeds. They usually have a dense, double-layered coat, and come in a variety of colors. Pomskies are known for being highly intelligent, social, and completely devoted to their owners. They're also trainable with the right amount of patience and consistency. Unlike their purebred counterparts, Pomskies have a shorter life expectancy due to genetic conditions that are common with hybrid breeds.
Pomskies are not 100% hypoallergenic since they are a designer hybrid breed. While they have the Pomeranian and Siberian Husky in their lineage, the specific mix could result in the coat and dander of the Pomsky to irritate some allergies. However, it is generally believed to be far less common for a Pomsky to cause allergic reactions than with a full-blooded Pomeranian or Siberian Husky, because the hybrid blend produces a coat of less dense fur and less shedding.
