Cockapoos are a hybrid breed of dog created by crossing a Cocker Spaniel with a Poodle. They come in a variety of different sizes and colors, from miniature to standard size and from black to apricot-colored. Cockapoos are often nicknamed 'Velcro dogs' because of their loyal and loving nature they like to be close to their owners at all times. They're generally very intelligent dogs and easy to train, although they can be a bit stubborn at times. They also tend to have minimal shedding, requiring only occasional grooming to maintain a healthy coat.
Cockapoos, a crossbreed between the Cocker Spaniel and the Poodle, are often considered to be a good fit for people who suffer from allergies due to the fact that they are what is known as "hypoallergenic" or "non-shedding". Since Cockapoos have such a combination of traits, they are known to require very little shed fur which makes them an ideal breed for people looking to minimize and manage pet-related allergies. They do however require frequent grooming and frequent brushing to keep their coats looking beautiful.
Cockapoos should not be given human food, such as salty snacks or fatty treats, as their digestive system is not designed to process human food. Additionally, they should not eat fruits with pits or seeds, as they can be a choking hazard, or plants and flowers, as some of them can be toxic. Similarly, they should not access household items such as plastic bags or wrappers, as these can also be hazardous or act as a choking hazard. Finally, they should not be given bones of any kind, as these can splinter and be quite dangerous to a smaller sized breed.

That said, some Cockapoos can reach larger sizes, depending on their lineage, with a few having a shoulder height up to about 18 inches. Ultimately, their size will vary based on the size of the Poodle parent, as well as the size of the parent Cocker Spaniel dog.

Keeping your pup active is crucial to their health; a lack of exercise can cause symptoms like restlessness, chewing, and barking. If your Cockapoo is a puppy, they may need more exercise.
