French Bulldogs are a small breed of domestic dog, typically classified as a member of the non-sporting group. Since they are small, they are sometimes classified as a toy dog. They are known for their stocky, muscular build, their short snout, wide-set eyes and their large, erect ears. French Bulldogs come in various colors and patterns, from brindle to fawn. Frenchies need very little exercise, but do require daily walks for mental stimulation, as well as frequent socialization.

French Bulldogs have a double-layered coat made of a soft, underfur and a dryer, coarser topcoat, creating the need for occasional brushing. In order to properly groom a French Bulldog, it may require weekly baths or professional grooming.
French Bulldogs are carnivorous animals so typically they should be fed a combination of a high-quality dry dog food and a fresh, meat-based diet. Their ideal diet should include foods like lean meats such as chicken, beef, and fish; whole wheat grains and pasta; eggs; vegetables such as broccoli, carrots, and sweet potatoes; and fruit such as apples and bananas. In addition, some people may want to supplement their food with omega-3 fatty acids, probiotics, and glucosamine to help maintain healthy skin and coat, improve digestion, and aid in joint health.
