A Labradoodle is a designer breed of dog that is created by crossing a purebred Labrador Retriever with a purebred Poodle. This popular mixed breed of dog is known for being intelligent, loyal, and playful, possessing the best qualities from both breeds. Labradoodles have a unique, fuzzy appearance due to their wavy, low-shedding hypoallergenic coat, which is usually curly or straight. Unlike purebred dogs, Labradoodles can come in a variety of colors and sizes, so you can easily find the perfect pup for your family.
Labradoodles are often referred to as "hypoallergenic" or "non-shedding," but this is a bit of a misnomer. While they are often low-shedding, it is not totally accurate to say they do not shed at all. In fact, most Labradoodles will still shed their seasonal coat, much like other breeds of dogs.

Labradoodles come in a variety of sizes! Depending on the breeding, they can range from as small as 14 inches and 15 pounds, known as a Miniature Labradoodle, to as large as 24 inches and 70 pounds, known as a Standard Labradoodle. Toy Labradoodles will usually range between 10 and 14 inches and generally weigh between 10 and 20 pounds, while Medium Labradoodles generally will range between 15 and 20 inches and weigh between 30 and 45 pounds.
The amount of walking your Labradoodle needs per day depends on their age, size, and health. Generally, if your Labradoodle is under three years of age, they should get at least 30 minutes of walking or play per day for good exercise. Adult Labradoodles usually need about 40 minutes of outdoor activity, such as walking or running, each day. However, if your Labradoodle is older or has health considerations like arthritis then the amount of exercise time should be adjusted accordingly.
Labradoodles are known for being highly social, friendly, and patient dogs that generally get along well with children, making them an ideal family pet.
