This combination results in a pup that is intelligent, friendly, and intuitive. Not only do they often times inherit the intelligence of the Poodle and the Lab's tendency to bond closely with their owners, but they're also generally eager to please. They come in a variety of colors and can be low-shed to non-shedding, making them a great fit for most households.
Labradoodles are generally recognized for their unique coats that can be soft and furry, wiry and curly, or a combination of both. This hybrid breed of dog—a mix of a Labrador Retriever and a Poodle—is known for being hypoallergenic, so its coat typically doesn't shed, which is a major qualifying factor for some people. Its natural coats come in a variety of colors, from black or brown to shades of red or cream to apricot or silver.
Labradoodles should not be given foods that are high in fat, salt, chemicals, or preservatives, as these can cause health problems.
