Labradoodles are a designer hybrid crossbreed of two highly intelligent, and active breeds, the Labrador Retriever and the Poodle. This clever mix has created a breed that is loyal, intelligent, and very friendly. As such, labradoodles are becoming increasingly popular as household pets in many countries around the world. What makes the breed so special, however, is their stunning coat of a thick, wavyfur – a trait that is inherited from the Poodle side.
Labradoodles have an incredibly unique and desirable coat! They come in a wide variety of colors and textures, from thick and wooly to silky and straight. They are often a combination of both Poodle and Labrador retriever fur, giving them a lush, full coat with plenty of volume.
Labradoodles, like all other dogs, need an appropriate diet to keep them healthy and strong. Generally, Labradoodles should be fed a nutrient-dense diet that is tailored specifically to their individual needs. As a large breed, Labradoodles should be given puppy formula until 12-14 months of age to help them grow and develop. After that, they need a diet that is high in animal-based proteins to maintain their active lifestyle.
Preparing your home for your new Labradoodle can be an exciting and fun task. Start by making sure the space is safe and comfortable for your pup: check for loose wires, cords, and other hazardous items and use baby-gates to prevent access to any dangerous locations. Make sure there are plenty of appropriate toys for your pooch to enjoy and that any valuable items are kept out of reach. If you're using crates for training, make sure they are the correct size and comfortable for your pup, and also give them a special area of their own.

Training a Labradoodle is not a complicated process, but it does require consistency and patience. The key is to begin obedience training as soon as you bring your pup home, giving him or her boundaries and reinforcing those boundaries with positive reinforcement. Begin by teaching basic commands such as "sit," "stay" and "come" as well as commands for walking off leash like “leave it” and “come.” Train your Labradoodle for 15-30 minutes at a time, a few times each day.
