Labradoodles are a unique and popular designer breed, developed by crossing a Labrador Retriever and a Poodle. Technically, Labradoodles are considered a hybrid breed because they are not a breed recognized by the American Kennel Club. Generally, Labradoodles are classified as a family-friendly and highly intelligent dog, though sizes always vary, ranging from miniature to standard. They also come in many colors and have low shedding coats that require regular grooming to ensure optimal health and hygiene.
The Labradoodle coat can be any combination of soft and silky, straight, wavy, or curly. It is sometimes referred to as a hypoallergenic coat because it is a mix of a Labrador Retriever's short, water-repellent coat and Poodle's non-shedding coat.
