The original purpose of creating this breed was to combine the intelligence, trainability and obedience of a lab with the non-shedding coat of a poodle. Because of their hybrid nature, Labradoodles often vary in their size, coat, color and characteristics depending on the breed of the parent dogs used to create them. Generally, these dogs are friendly, adaptive, playful, and easy to train.
Labradoodles can still trigger allergies, even though they are hypoallergenic. This is because they still shed, and some people may still be susceptible to their dander.
