Labradoodles are a designer breed of dogs, developed by crossing Labrador Retrievers and Poodles. They have most of the retriever's eagerness to please and lovable personality mixed with some of the Poodle's intelligence, although they can still be strong-willed and independent. Labradoodles are usually black, cream, brown, and white in color and generally maintain a medium size. They also tend to have low to non-shedding coats as a result of the crossover, making them an easy breed to care for.

Labradoodles can range in size depending on their breeding. Most Labradoodles in an F1 hybrid generally weigh up to 60lbs, with females a little smaller than males. However, F1b Labradoodles (which are the result of an F1 Labradoodle being bred with a Poodle) usually don't exceed 45lbs. Additionally, F2 Labradoodles, which are two F1 Labradoodles bred together, usually have a size between the F1 and F1b.
