Labradoodles are a designation of Canis familiaris, a hybrid breed created by crossing a Labrador Retriever with a Poodle. This hybrid design was initially created to be a hypoallergenic service dog, with an aim to combine the intelligence and loyalty of a Labrador with the low-shedding coat of the Poodle.
