They are known for their intelligence, loyalty, playful demeanor, and low shedding coats, making them the perfect family dog. What makes them truly stand out, however, is their versatility. Labradoodles can be athlete, work dogs or couch potatoes that like napping. They are also incredibly smart and have the ability to pick up commands quickly, something most breeds cannot boast.
Labradoodles are known for having much less shedding compared to other breeds of dogs. Generally speaking, the combination of a Labrador Retriever and a Poodle means these dogs are hypoallergenic and much less likely to shed than other breeds. However, the amount of shedding is largely dependent upon the type of Poodle used. If the Labradoodle is a mix of a standard Poodle, it will typically have more shedding than those with a toy or mini Poodle parent.
Feeding your Labradoodle should depend largely on age, size, activity level, and health needs. A high-quality, premium dog food should make up the bulk of your Labradoodle's diet. Start by offering food specifically crafted for your pup's size and life stage. Such a diet should contain lean sources of protein, complex carbs, vitamins and minerals. You can also supplement their food with fruits and vegetables such as apples, peas, and carrots.
