They are classified as designer dogs and are gaining popularity due to their robust health, intelligence and friendly dispositions. The coat of a Labradoodle can range in texture from a wavy to a tightly-curled, depending on which parent breed the Labradoodle is descended from. Generally, Labradoodles have a gentle, affectionate temperament which makes them ideal family or therapy dogs.
