A Labradoodle is a hybrid breed of dog, a mix between a Labrador Retriever and a Standard or Miniature Poodle. They generally have a silky, low-shedding coat and are known to be intelligent, friendly and gentle, making them popular family pets. Labradoodle coats can range from straight to Curly, and they come in a variety of colours including black, brown, red, and apricot. While they can be active and enjoy outdoor activities, Labradoodles also make excellent house dogs, as they love people and attention.
While Labradoodles are not considered hypoallergenic, they are suitable for people with allergies or asthma due to their low-shedding coats. However, it's important to keep in mind that all dogs produce dander, saliva, and urine which are possible sources of allergens. As such, if you're highly allergic or sensitive, it's best to consult with your physician and/or allergist before getting a Labradoodle to make sure they won't aggravate any allergies or asthma you have.

Bone fragments or table scraps can be particularly hazardous and should not be given to Labradoodles. It's important to monitor their diets, as too much human food can cause weight gain and health issues.
Preparing for your new Labradoodle is an exciting experience! First, be sure to get all the supplies you will need. The Miniature is the smallest size and the Standard is the largest. Labradoodles require considerable exercise in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle, but the exact amount of time will depend on the individual characteristics of your dog. Generally speaking, Labradoodles should have at least one hour of physical activity every day, with 30 minutes each of walking and off-leash play. This should be divided into two or three separate walks per day. To meet the exercise needs of your Labradoodle, you should aim for a minimum of 50 minutes of walking per day, though more is always better.
