This unique combination creates a friendly, energetic, intelligent and loyal pup that typically weighs between 20-70 pounds. They make a great companion for an active family, because with their active and playful demeanor, they enjoy being involved in activities like running, walking, playing fetch, swimming, and more. They don’t require a ton of grooming and are regarded as being healthy and low-shedding dogs.
Labradoodles, the hybrid breed created by crossing a Labrador Retriever and a Poodle, have gained immense popularity for their lovely nonshedding coats. The fact that they have the Poodle's curly coat genetics means they may not shed as much as other breeds, leading to the assumption that they are hypoallergenic.
